I have four chicks -- wanted three but that's for another post -- and the Golden laced wyanadotte chick had some poop on her vent area. Twice when I cleaned it she pooped right afterwards so I'm glad I cleaned her, and now I just see a little next to the vent.
Should I keep cleaning or is it ok to have a little poop on the feathers next to the vent? She's so cute trying to preen after I clean her off because she usually falls over! Anyway, am I being all obsessive compulsive with their fuzzy butts or is it good to clean any poop off because the next one might stick or something?
They arrived last Wednesday Feb 27 from mypetchicken. Two barred rocks and one Ameracauna (if that's spelled right). I'll try to post photos soon.
