Is it possible for a male duck to turn into a female?

Hello! I’ve heard female ducks can turn to males although it’s rare! But our boy he’s almost 1 yr now, he looks like he’s turning into a girl. Is it possible? He still sounds like a boy though. His name is Muffin! He used to have a full green head but not very shiny but now it’s like this and his ring on his neck has girl feathers over it now? Idk if it’s because he’s molting but still!

He's molting into his eclipse plumage. His complete male feathering (nuptial) will appear in the fall.

just molting, boys will lose their green feathers and get “hen” feathers every year after mating season is over
