Is it possible for there to be a blood ring in an egg with a living embryo?

I have a serama egg going on day 7 tomorrow, Oct 14 2013. Last night when I candled, there were some really red smears that if you connected would make a ring around the egg, but there are also numerous blood vessels stemming from a little brown shape (my guess is the embryo)...
Soooo... Is it possible for a blood ring to develop if there is a living embryo in the egg?

The veins are the little wiggles in the bottom of the pic.

There is def an air sac, and its grown a little the past 3 days too. I was holding it at a weird angle because I had the flashlight and egg in the same hand, camera in the other. A blood vein pressed to the shell did pass through my mind, but I blew it off. I will give an update in a couple days to see if the embryo keeps going :)

I haven't candled for 2 days, but last I checked the veins were collecting together, sooo I'm thinking I have a blood ring. I will candle tomorrow night and will let you know :)

Yeah. I have 10 others that appeared to be fertile and growing. So, I'm happy I've made it this far with 10! I know serama are hard to hatch, so I'm happy with that many still being fertile! :)

Ugh... :( Definitely a blood ring. No veins, just a thick ugly line circling the egg... I had hopes for this one, it was the first serama egg layed at my house... :(
