A result of my Barred Cochin Rooster on my Splash Hen?

I hatched a few Cochin eggs to check fertility and this chick hatched.
It is Obviously Cochin, I have no Buff Hens so thinking it might be Barred on Splash.

My Roosters are Barred & Splash

Hens are Black, Barred, Splash, Blue, Silver Laced and Partridge

Wow interesting! With the wingbars the parent is the barred roo but wow, where you got a buffish bird from that list of hens is flat fascinating.

Barred over partridge in the first generation would produce a black/black bleeding red bird.

So that's either barred over silver, or barred over splash - which once you get into silvers, blues and lavs I think you can start picking up the buffs/wheatens etc.

My Partridge hen has only been laying about 3 weeks, One silver Hen has been laying for awhile. I hope this is a pullet so I can see how it matures.
I think it is likely Barred over splash as it was a large egg and my older Splash lays Huge eggs.

Doesn't look like barring to me--looks more like blue penciling; which says splash roo X partridge or silver laced hen.

I honestly can't tell seeing it in person. I guess this will be one I just have to take pics of every couple of weeks. The coloring is so light it really is hard to tell what is going on. When it first hatched, before it dried, I thought it was splash.

I had just cleaned out waterers and not thrown out the shavings collection yet.
I have to clean that bathroom, parents are coming next week and they don't like to share the spare rooms with chicks....
