Hello everyone!! My name is Robert. Wow, where was this group when I lived in the country and was able to have as many feathered friends as I wanted. Back then i was only familiar with the Rode Island Red , Plymouth Rock and of course the abundant game chicken. As I got older I found that the chicken had many more enthusiast and the breeds were almost endless.
Anyway, speaking of breeds. I was wondering if it was possible to get purebred Silver or Golden Sebrights if I were to breed my pure bred Silver Sebright Rooster with a crossbreed Sebright hen? Would the Sebrights blood line come back? Hope I'm making sense, lol. Here are a few pics of my Sebrights and what I believe to be crossbred Sebright hens. Would love to hear your opinions !!

They do look like sebright mixes. It is possible to get chicks that look like sebrights by crossing the mixes to the purebreds. However, the offspring wouldn’t be purebred unless you continued to backcross to sebright. You would have to make sure the offspring were pure for all traits of a sebright before calling them sebrights.

Here is a pic of the mother. Does she look as though she has Sebright traits in her?
