Just to make a point of the noise of a roo in the morning. My coop has 3" - 4" foam insulation virtually sealed all over and it's just about air tight (see my website) , and even so, during the winter I can hear the roo crowing. It's not really loud, but if you have a nasty close by neighbor, they'll hear it.
Even now, when I have only one vent open to the back of the coop facing the woods, he can wake me at first crow. Again, it's muffled a bit, but nature has intended them to be heard and they sure are
