Ok, in August I bought 2 "Cream Legbar pullets" from an NPIP breeder, here locally. This is what I really got:

- I thought they were "auto-sexing" at hatch, lol....

This is what Legbar pullets look like...

Thanks everybody - I kept watching him feather out, thinking; this doesn't look right! So I googled CCL rooster and discovered he wasn't even a CCL, much less a pullet! The seller had a nice pen set up, I really liked it.... he had lots of nice, unusual breeds and varieties.... I guess he just couldn't properly identify the chicks....

Ok, so he's a Welsummer, now that he's been identified, I'll see if I can find him a good home

Respect to Gray Farms, but that cockerel has nice white earlobes. Not a Wellie. If he's pure bred, he's a brown Leghorn. Or, he could be a mixed breed bird, the CCL have white earlobes.

X2

IF he's pure, I'd say Brown Leghorn as well... but considering the mix up I wouldn't bank on that either... he's not a Legbar cross though, he would have barring either way...

Your totally right, thank you. I missed that completely, the pics won't enlarge on my computer for some reason. Thanks again donrae
