Is it safe to feed broiler grower to non meat chickens?

Today my mom found a reasonable price on organic grower feed. Later though i saw it read for broiler and meat chickens. Feed for start to finish. My chickens will never be for meat! I love them too much!
Would it be safe to, in small quantities, feed them this?
And if so, both already grown and chicks?

Do a nutritional analysis comparison. If it's more than 16%, it may be ok, but I think the fat content is higher. Most grower feeds, at least where I shop are 15% protein, and I can't fathom why any one would buy any feed at 15% protein. How old are they? That makes a difference also.

I'm feeding New County Organics "Broiler/Grower" to my layer flock of 18 month old chickens and 4 month old chickens, with oyster shell on the side. It just happens that the manufacturer brands it as "Grower/Broiler". Believe it's 19% protein. Have been very happy with it.

It's safe. The protein level is probably 20% if for broilers start to finish. Doubt it's as high as 24%. The fat content may be a tad higher like 4% instead of 3. That's not much.

The age and type of birds you have determines the amount of protein you should feed. Thin layer types like Leghorn don't require the protein that dual purpose birds like Orpington do. Broilers usually are fed even more protein and a bit more fat. I use 20% protein for my dual purpose flock from chicks to adults. To get that in pellet form and not high calcium layer ration we use a turkey/gamebird finisher. You can match feed to your flock needs and that doesn't always mean what the label on the bag says it's for, again, I feed a turkey finisher to chickens because it has the nutrition values I want and is $12.20 a bag. If the broiler feed nutrition analysis is good and fair price then by all means use it.

The higher the protein the more a feed costs. With thin layer types it behooves you to use less protein because they don't need it and can save you money.
