Not necessarily, but it's kind of hit and miss right now. Have you checked your local CraigsList? You might also check FaceBook since local co-ops and such have info on there. Also, it's never too late in the year to get ducklings if you want to hatch them yourself. That, of course, depends what kind of ducks you want and what hatching eggs are available for sale at the time.

Getting late to get day olds and have them fully feathered and ready for the cooler weather of fall and then winter. So if you want to do it, do it ASAP.
It was spectacular weather wise through the end of October last year, but winter was right behind it.
