I have 10 chicks...5 are around 2 weeks old and the other 5 are around 5 weeks old...I have taken my bigger chicks outside on warmer days for some fresh air in a wire dog crate, but they were still a bit too little and could fit through the bars...so I made an exercise box for them yesterday...I built a frame and then I stapled 1/4" hardwire cloth all the way around it. I want so terribly to put them in it, but the temperature is in the mid to upper 60's today...the big chicks are about 5-6 weeks old and they are the ones that I want to take out...but I have had them inside in a room that has been kept at around 85 degrees...will they be ok in this temperature??? The sun is shining....
