Hey everyone my buff silkie girl decided she wanted to go broody so I put about 8 or 9 eggs under and made her very happy

But when the babies hatch will it be too cold for them? Remember, I live in mississippi, so Its not like it gets freezing cold or anything and our temp changes so much.

thanks.

Not in the least.

I've had broody hens hatch out clutches with the temps in the single digits, with the day old chicks running around on the frozen ground for minutes at a time, before ducking back under the warmth of their mama. You would think they would freeze, but they don't. You just need to make sure they have access to warm water several times a day.
