My birds are now 4 1/2 weeks old. They have very little chick down left, even on their necks and heads. They have been outside to play when it was in the 70's and were very happy. The daytime temperatures are now back down into the upper 50's but it is sunny. Are they big enough to handle that kind of temperature outside for awhile? I can tell they are dying to get outside as they strain their necks to be picked up and whisked to the outdoors.

Oh and of course they still need to be under the lamp either in the coop house or the brooder at night because the overnight temp will still drop into the teens.

Put them out!
Leave their light on inside their coop house and leave it so they can go inside or out in the run whenever they feel hot or cold.
That's what I'm doing for mine and it hasn't killed them.
