Is it too early to tell the sex of my chicks?

I purchased three Ameracauna chicks from a farmer a week ago. They were born on 2/9/12. Is it too early to try to identify if I got pullets or roos? I am dying to know, because I want them to be pullets so badly! They aren't quite 4 weeks old yet. If it is possible to tell, I will take pics and post them.

We can give you some pretty good guesses now, but nothing will be 100 percent.

You can get some pretty good guesses here but to get the best guesses, take a picture of their belly. A male will have an obvious bald spot on the belly while females will have feathers.

Never heard about the belly feather things. Post pics. There are several here that can give you good answers.

Actually, I learned it by experiance, nothing about it on the web at all. All that I know is that once my chicks start to feather out, the future males have a vertical bald spot on their bellies.
PS: This does NOT work on silkies and showgirls...
