Is it too high?

So i'm planning to get some baby chicks in the next two days. They will be put in with a broody hen, but she prefers to nest in a box (about 1 sq.foot) thats about two feet off the ground. If the babies fall out, will this hurt them? Should I try to move her to the ground?

Hmmm. I have no experience with broodies, put an ordinary chick would not like that height, if you could get it flush with the ground that would probably be best.

I would move her to the ground. Even if the chicks make it down, they won't be able to make it back up.
