It depends on the dog, but the fact that she if fine with the iguana is agood sign. Id make one suggestion - since she is used to housepets, get her used to the chicks inside. Many dogs will see outdoor animals as prey or interlopers if they haven't been taught otherwise. Since chciks are usually started inside, this should be easy. She egst used to babies. In the house, then they come outside with her. Better than a surprise of strange critters in her yard!

She has been an amazing dog. And we are glad to have her. I just want her to be "chicken safe". She is a pet and will never be a bonded LGD. She is the only dog we have, so I don't let her range at night. I am just not comfortable with it since she doesn't have backup if the coyotes are in a pack. Night protection for the chooks is going to need to be a nice safe coop and run. But it would be nice to let her be outside during the day with them if I let them free range outside their run.

If she shows no real interest in the chickens, that is great. If she does, or wants to chase, the thing that worked well with my young Maremma who was chasing and unintentionally killing chickens was to lay him down and allow the chickens to walk on him. Everytime he lifted his head or tried to avoid them, I corrected him with a loud "NO" and pushed him back into position. I don't know if it humiliated him, or just got him to understand the chickens were a priority to me, but he has never mauled one since and has been faithfully protecting them for a full season. HE and his brother have established a 'no fly zone' in the back yard where they free range and tend to lay wherever the chickens congregate during the day. I am sure your girl is gonna be great
