Is it true life begins at 40

Life really does begin @ 40. I started going and doing what I wanted to try while I was young and healthy enough to do it. My DH totally supported me on what I wanted to do or try. Just like I support him on what he wants to do and try.

I was turning 40 when I started a Rocky Mountain Horse Farm with my best friend. We bred many great foals over the years. When Quincy was foaled, and I saw him for the first time I just knew he was the ONE that I had been waiting for my whole life. So I'm just trying to say: Keep your chin up, keep looking foward, look at life with the glass half full. And most important live every moment to the fullest, your not getting older your getting better.

P.S.
Live your bucket list NOW!!!!!

50 now, and life is really changing for me, my companion and I have started a new life style. we are living better, eatting better and a lot less, both of us have lost a good sum of weight. Frank has taken to carving more and learning to play the banjo, I have started to not take things so strongly, (good meds for that) and I am learning to play the guitar.

So dont think of it as an "age" think of it as a "life" do what you want and can, play in the sand, go scratch a goat, horse or burro, watch what the animals do, sit and watch the squirels playing in the trees. the animals rolling in the dirt (they know a good time when they see it). and remember there might not be a tomorrow for us. So live today!!!!!

I wouldn't have a clue as to when life begins.

But right now I'm totally weighed down with all the things your average young adult has to deal with - ambitions for the future, keeping up with friends, schoolwork, jobs, etc. I can imagine (or just really hope!) that by 40 things will have settled down, I'll have a steady job and some steady friends, and perhaps then I can start going out there and having some fun using whatever paid leave I can muster.

The one thing I remember about fourty is it only seems like a couple of years ago, but has been 15. Time really goes by from 40 on. I haven't really grown old, I just woke up one day and noticed it.

40-something ROCKS! Somehow, in my 30's, I felt like I had to try to look 20-something. Now if I tried, it would be pretty sad. Now I just get to be me. I don't need to hide my laugh lines, because I've earned them. I've stopped trying to dress in whatever certain way I thought I needed to, and now I wear what I like. Know what? I think I look better and more stylish than I ever did before. I'm settled and professional in my career, I finally own my home, I've got great kids, a super husband, and chickens coming this spring. 30's got nothing on that!

40 is just a number. Not all cultures are obsessed with youth, and I wish we'd get over it, just part of
big business selling gunk. It's like you think you need to drink soda because it is everywhere. You don't need
soda, it's actually bad for you. Walk into a grocery store and look how many times you see a soda display Same thing with the culture of
youth. Countless stupid inane ads telling you how to look, or be younger. For crying out loud, hasn't anyone
noticed how miserable most teenagers are? Life begins at 40.

I'm right behind the op. I've been saying I'm 29 for over 7 years now

I hope it begins at 40, because there is tons I still want to do. I'll be having my second hip replacement this year, on the 19'th of this month, so my body should be up and running come end of winter/spring. I've stopped doing alot of the things I enjoy due to physical limitations, so it will be nice to have that change. I've always wanted horses too, and I'll probably be about 40 when that happens.

That's pretty much where I am now.

It's very true what they say about miserable. I've probably just been through the hardest few years of my life. I can't say there haven't been the great times, but I do look back on the time I was 14 and under with great fondness.
