I never knew how bad my other set really was, we thought just the dryer had issues, when they hauled the washer out, the transmission was leaking and about to go out.

I love my W/D I did actually restrain myself and have not done laundry all week, doing it today........

If you can abstain for a few days, there is hope.

It's very, very, very, very important that you learn to have a certain amount of dirt around you and your children. Husbands naturally find sufficient amounts of dirt so they are not as much of a problem.

But for the sake of the children, try to learn to slack off on the other housework if you are going overboard on laundry.

(just kidding).

I know how you feel. I got a new stackable unit and try to find things to wash all the time. I love it.

My other unit was leaking so bad with water it was starting to ruin the wood under the floor. I had to end up having the whole utility room floor redone with tile< bummer>

and also had to get a new water heater<the bottom fell out of it when they moved it.

Then, I had to get a new upright freezer

<darn!!>. And repaint the whole room<took three hours>.

ALL of our kids are 4 legged, well except all the 2 legged feathered ones. But the Dogs stay sufficiently dirty so no worries..... Hmm wonder if there is a DOG setting on the washer
