My husband named our first round of hens after Bond girls, so I decided to stick with that formula. I'm only keeping 2 pullets out of this batch, so it wasn't too difficult to name them. Yeah, it's kinda stupid and immature, but it's fun to tell people I have a hen called Octopussy. Lol! I didn't think to check her earlobes because I haven't seen them yet. Her feet are yellow, so I thought she might lay brown, but I know nothing about EEs yet.Check her ear lobes -- my Easter Eggers both have very green ear lobes, and they lay green eggs. It's not 100% certain, but it can give hints sometimes.
I love the eyeliner!! I named one of my EE gals Liz Taylor because her eyeliner looked like Liz Taylor's in Cleopatra. The other EE is "Butters" after the South Park character, and she looks like butter, duh.
I have so many pets, I'm running out of names. They're getting dumber and dumber as we roll along. You'd think toddlers were doing the naming instead of a 53 year old woman!
I've had her since my broody hatched her. She was a chipmunk colored chick. How old was she when you got her? What color was she as a check? She sure is pretty!!![]()
May Day is one gorgeous pullet!
