Is my 7 weeks old Buff Orphington a hen or Roost?

X2 male, that is a lot of comb

Its hard to say at that age. Is He/she clucking yet? You can tell by the cluck most times. If it is deep or lower its probably a male, and if its light and feathery it is quiet possibly a female. By the looks of it, I would say a male though. Don't trust us people on the internet though! We could all be completely wrong! If your looking to get rid of Him/Her wait until you are sure because it could be a hen!

That is a whole lot of pink comb and wattle at 7 weeks - so I'm leaning rooster, but would be interested in seeing this one again a few more weeks.

Wow, My kids will be quite devastated if it were a rooster. We had her since she was born. They have become quite attached to the chick.

Looks like a cockerel to me, with that slow feathering and large/red comb.
