Is my almost hen broody? When will the eggs hatch?

If it's staying as high as 20F, you don't need any heaters for adults or chicks with mamas
Even if the she’s a frizzle and molting? Sorry not trying to question just making sure! I think I’m gonna keep her in the main coop but thanks for all your help!

She should still be fine as long as she isn't molting enough to have bald spots everywhere. I had a frizzle years ago that did okay until she wandered outside during a snowstorm.

So it was about 2:00pm today and it was raining and so all the chickens stayed in the coop. Amelia was sitting on her eggs but then Hope had to lay. She kicked Amelia out. Amelia was really upset but settled in another nest when Hope finished I gave Amelia her eggs back she tucked them under her. I’m glad I marked them. I’m hoping that this was okay? Now that they are back with Amelia? It didn’t affect them for me to move them right? She’s fine now and still sitting on them. I’m thinking of leaving her in the morning cause that’s when she gets up and blocking her off the rest of the day so Hope leaves her alone? Then removing it at night. Would this work?

The more she's bothered by you or other hens, the more likely that she gives up before any hatch, especially if it's her first time.

Ugh I feel so bad 😞 do you think if i just fence her in the eggs will be ok?

I honestly think that it'll prove less stressful in the long run. But you'll have to do it altogether. A little stress over a long period of time is worse that more stress, that's over very quickly. Remember, whatever you can build away from her, do it. The less work around her, the better

Yeah I’m guessing as much need to build or get something to make a fence around her what do you suggest? View attachment 3712433This is what my nest boxes look like there are ten.
Just a simple suggestion I would take some boards and put it along the bottom of your nest boxes to keep the chicks from wandering around the coop at too early of an age to were your bossy hens are roaming and might peck them and really hurt them. It might also help to put some curtains up ( simple fabric will work ) to give the broody hen some privacy, and also just hens that are laying eggs in there. And when the little ones grow up it will also encourage them to lay in the nest box and not everywhere/anywhere else except were you want them to.

That can also help to keep your hen calm so that she will relax and stay broody.
