Is my barred rock a hen or rooster?? Please help!!

I adopted two hens and my barred rock kind of reminds me of a rooster

.. It charges at my other hen..but it doesn't crow.. makes the same noise as the other hen.. It may just be showing its dominance because buff orpingtons tend to be bullied. It also ruffles its feathers when it runs at my buff.. Thankyou!! Im new to this
