Is my Barred Rock a roo or pullet?

Hi! I'm new to chickens (this is my first flock, about 5.5 weeks old). I have one barred rock who has a much bigger/red comb (granted I don't have any other BRs to compare it to). It is way more dominant than the others. It likes to "herd" the other ones around. Do you think this is a rooster?

The comb is quite large for only 5.5 weeks old. I would say cockerel. Interesting coloring for a Barred Rock cockerel, though. Usually the males have more white in them and less darkness on their legs.

I am doubtful that is actually a pure BR. That comb is very big for the age but that is a female pattern/coloration.

Haha, I thought it was a BR...now I have no clue! Suggestions on breed are welcome as well!

They had them labeled as BR at Big R, but they did have quite a variety of breeds there. Maybe this one got mixed in?

The leg coloring is right for a BR but the "barring" is a hot mess. Where did this bird come from?

Maybe a mix- possible Olive Egger!

Yup, yup. I see it now. That is a "Hot Mess" pullet, very rare. Lol.

This is what my Olive Egger looked like when he was llittle. Kind of similar to yours but my guy had the feathered legs from his cuckoo marans side.
