Is my brooder warm enough?

Hi All! I am new to chickens and picked up four chicks today. I currently have them in a 3 ft Tupperware container (lengthwise), which is also tall enough they can't get out. I have their water and feed in there and a heat lamp. I do not have a thermometer and, therefore, am nervous about how warm (or cool) it is. Any tips? Thank you in advance!

One way you can tell is if the chicks seem comfortable, meaning are they scattered about the brooder. If they are all huddled under the lamp, they are cold. If they are all as far away from the lamp, they are too warm.

Thank you! Right now, it seems to be just right! Do I keep the heat lamp on all the time?
