Is my buff orp cross a boy or a girl?

My buff orp hen is 3 months and has no wattles or red in her comb at all??? Maybe because yours is mixed breed but looks like a roo to me??

Leaves of three, leave them be! The ones that aren't five-leafed. The ones right next to your bird on the left and the ones behind your bird on the vine.

No that is bramble (blackberry) I can assure you, grows like a weed here in the UK, it is covered in thorns and I can handle it without getting a rash. I can see the similarity between it and poison ivy though.

No worries

I didn't have UK on my profile so that didn't help! so I do now

anymore peeps got any ideas about my bird??

In your first pic,I thought that was a curious looking pullet. Then his tail feathers became pointed and you told us he spars with another roo.A hen and a roo sparring doesn't seem likely. Most of the time it's two roos. And then he got a red comb and wattles.:(Sorry,But that's a roo.

I'm very sorry.

don't know how the mix is affecting the development, but my 4mo BO has still very pink comb & little/no wattles yet... my guess is roo. sorry

Does anyone think that the way that the comb is starting to flop to one side could mean that it may be a hen? I was just checking photos of the cream Legbar which it is crossed with and the hens do seem to have a floppy comb and a crest of feathers just behind it like mine does.

I have some very sad news to report

the night before last my ferrets escaped from their run and killed all my chickens and quail apart from one little quail that is locked in a hutch brooding eggs, now we will never know the gender of that chicken for sure but thank you all for trying to help.
