I'm missing them all very much and feel rather lost without them, the ferrets have now been rehomed to someone as I never want that to happen again. The quail eggs are due to hatch any day now so at least I have that to look forward to and I may hatch some more chicken eggs in springtime when the weather warms up again. I will post some pics of the little quail chicks if they arrive in the next few days.

Some good news to report

4 beautiful quail chicks hatched under the broody quail

seeing as the Japanese quail rarely go broody I am very surprised! but very pleased, she had 6 eggs in total and the other 2 may still hatch yet so fingers crossed! will post pics of the happy family in a few days if all goes well, just don't want to stress mum out too much at this point.
