Is my chicken going to lay an egg?!?

Well, one of my 20.5 week old easter egger chickens looks like she's about ready to lay an egg! She has a hot pink/ red comb, looks fully grown, and squats whenever I go to pick her up. The squatting is really recent, only about 5 days, but the red comb has been like that for about three weeks. So when do you think I can expect eggs?

It sounds like she's getting close now There is "test" you can do to determine how close a hen is to laying, by examining her pelvic bones. See here for explanation and pic:

It varies chicken to chicken but I got my first egg 7 days after my first chicken started squatting and 4 days after my second started squatting. Not sure who laid the egg but I'd assume that it was the first squatter.
