Is my chicken molting or is it something else?

They usually stop laying when molting. So I think she was just molting

If the feathers are growing back, don't worry. The age is about right, too. Some chickens will have a partial molt at that age.

Thank you for this! One of our Dominiques is also losing some feathers and the only thing that made sense was a molt, but I thought she was way too young. I was searching the forum today for answers and thankfully found one.

Chickens molt and grow a new set of feathers 2-3 times before around 6 months of age, those are called the juvenile molts.
Some pullets will have a partial molt their first fall/winter.
Most birds will have their first full adult molt their second fall/winter.
