Is my chicken molting?

Hello my hen recently have been losing feathers and I'm not sure if she is molting and I see her fixing her feathers every minute & she is kept indoors and was never free range. She lay eggs normally and is eating fine. I gave her layer feed crumble everyday. I even also give her treats like cheese and bread, which she loves. Do i need to cover something over her chest? What do i need to improve so she can grow her new feathers?

Looks like molt. Start feeding higher protein feed. It helps during the molt.

Yes, it does look like she is molting. Is she your only chicken? If she is kept indoors, she should not need any covering. Even outside in a coop, in cold weather, most chickens can survive a molt. She should have pretty feathers in a month or more.

i second this just make sure she is fed a higher protein feed and just let her do her thing
