Is my chicken sick or am I over-reacting?

Thank you for all of your support! Unfortunately, she died last week. Very odd, she went from fine to dead in four days. None of our other chickens have any symptoms, they are completely normal. We are still trying to figure out what happened to her but we didn't perform an autopsy because it was the first chicken I have lost and I didn't think I could do it. Again, thank you for all your information and good luck with your chickens!

Sorry for your loss. By the time a chicken shows symptoms its usually pretty sick. As a prey animal they tend to hide any weakness. To me it sounds like Coccidosis. Starting Corid right away is important. Even if turns out not to be cocci, the Corid will not hurt. Watch your others very close. You can worm them if you haven't already.

I'm very sorry you lost her. I understand not feeling up to doing a necropsy yourself. In the future if you have a worrisome loss you can have one done professionally by sending the body off for one. In some cases it's a very good idea to know for sure what happened and what if any risks there are to the rest of the flock.
Again, so sorry for your loss.

UPDATE: Parm has gone downhill. We moved her inside and by herself and gave her food and water, but she will not eat. Her poop is greenish but I am just happy she is pooping. She can't really stand, she leans to one side and falls over sometimes. She also shakes, and it is not cold. She keeps her eyes closed a lot, but she does open them and seems to watch us. I have yes clue what she has, I have been researching like crazy and cannot find anything. If anyone has any thoughts, PLEASE let me know! Hopefully Parm can recover, but it looks pretty grim.

Thank you!
DO a Corid drench, the coach gave good advice! Hope she recovers. :fl

ETA: Sorry for your loss. :(
