Is my chicken sick?

Hi, welcome to BYC! :frow

That's definitely NOT normal. And she looks like a boy to me. Do you get eggs? He appears to be a handsome Easter Egger. :love

Clipping the wing won't change if the bird is ill or not. So I wouldn't do that unless they were flying over fences. The wing hanging low is a symptom.

The symptoms you describe sound like it COULD be coccidiosis. Because of the standing and sleeping. But boys do drop a wing like that and dance around their mates to entice them.

Only 1 out of the 9 strains of cocci present as blood in the stool. You can get a fecal float done at most vets for about $15 to confirm and make sure you are treating for the correct thing. I use Corid as it treats most strains of cocci, which is usually a problem in warm, humid conditions. The coccidia are in EVERY chicken poo so they are constantly exposed but it's a problem when there is an over growth of them. Corid is not an antibiotic and works by blocking thiamine to starve out/ slow the growth of the cocci and should not supplement vitamins during treatment.

Now that's just the simplest possibility. Could still be the onset of Marek's or something more serious. :(

Note the other chicken in pic 1 that he is standing by is also a cockerel.
None of them have started laying yet. I think its because their all males...ugh

Treatment for coccidosis: 1 1/2 tsp of Corid powder mixed into 1 gallon of water. Make that the only source of water and make a new batch every day for 5-7 days. Don't give vitamins during Corid treatment. Yes at TSC

Is it ok to trat all of the flock at once?

You can treat cocci, and I would get that started pronto. It wont hurt if its not cocci. How is the poop looking?
Its hard to tell which poop is hers...I did notice some dloose poop in the pen this morning, but I dont know which one.
