Is my coop all wrong?!

Pics
The last coop I had was 4x4x4 and I had 6 hens in their. They couldn't free range much because it was -50 and they refused to go outside. My new jersey giant started eating the other one and I had to kill it!

What did you expect from over-crowded birds?

If you *really* live in Alaska, and *really* have chickens at all -- which is hard to tell because your stories vary so wildly -- this is the article you need: https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/cold-weather-poultry-housing-and-care.72010/

What if we remove the top roost bar and add two shorter T-bars under it to the back wall. My drawing sucks an NOTHING is to scale, lol

That wasn't very nice, my ladies were happy once I got rid of the cannibal. I thought byc was a safe space?
BYC is a safe space. What's not "safe" about it? Not agreeing with someone or not liking what someone has said doesn't make BYC unsafe. We are an open forum asking for advice, on particular chicken husbandry issues. Advice can come from anywhere in the world and if you don't like what someone has pointed out in the posts, then don't listen to it.
Disagreeing, doesn't mean BYC isn't a safe place to ask questions and interact with people.
Your asking for advice and people are telling you. So, take the advice or not.

It might help.

I'm currently a bit short of roost length for my big coop (need to both do some culling and make some modifications), and some of them roost on the support crossbars.

Me too. I have some modifications that need to be done. Always bigger and better. My husband says "Enough Vicki!". But, I can't stop! Lol
