The daily drama is what I love, I worry more about my chickens getting hurt than anyone else in this house...They have a way of moving into your heart...I LOVE my 6 mixed chooks....

Drama? Drama? There is always drama at Chuckling Chicken Farm. Rooster or no rooster. The Red Wattle Gang is always up to something. Broodys having temper tantrums. Hens jostling over roosts. Putting the rooster in his place. And I have the photos to prove it!

I have all hens who got along great until recently. Just yesterday I noticed that my girl, Nelly, had a sore on her comb. It wasn't there the day before. The only difference is this week Nelly started laying. The others haven't started laying. I'm wondering if the others are picking on her when she is on the nest?

My coop is like a high school.. There are the populars and the jocks, the wallflowers, the loners, the delinquents. It's funny watching then do their thing
