Only had 4 duck eggs, just one was close to making it I’m getting some more soon when the current heat wave passing through us is over. I’m also gonna hatch some more quail so my quail, Haggard, like Merle Haggard, isn’t so alone

I just bought 18 quail eggs from the supermarket... only $3!! Hopefully a couple hatch so he has some buddies to play with, I’m also ordering an XL rabbit cage and a wooden house extension so he has plenty of room in his sleeping area, but I’ll be taking him out a lot to play! Hoping this house-pet quail thing works out well. He loves going outside and hunting for big ants on the patio

Awwwww. Good luck with the new batch. I had a single guinea hatch. Poor little Carmine. I contacted the guy I got the eggs from and he agreed to give me 2 keets. So now Carmine Tony and Angelina are buddies

Quick question for quail eggs bc I may or may not have forgotten already I’m not supposed to turn the eggs until after the first 48 hours of incubation right?
