I have a 6 1/2 year old running duck. Lately he has loss of appetite, dizzy like, weight loss. Seems picky about food but seems to want to eat but struggles to. Drinks ALOT of water. Throwing up mucous and even seen some blood on side of Beek. Is this a bird illness. Maybe respiinfection or is my baby dying.

I highly recommend getting your duck to an avian vet. It sounds like he is sick but vet care may be able to help.

Can you tell us what you have been doing to help? Runners are so slight in body they can lose traction fast if not able to eat. So tube feeding would be a good idea but getting to the underlying problem is what is going to save him.

Has he ever been wormed?
Any symptoms like discharge from eyes or nares. Congested?
Can you post pictures or a video of him? A video will have to go to Youtube or Vimeo before copy and pasted here.

Bringing the duck to a veterinarian experienced with birds would likely provide the best outcome rather than aimlessly treating for the many conditions a duck can suffer at this age. If you are located in the U.S you can use this veterinary directory below:

Until then, keep him located in a warm ( 80F-ish spot ) watch for overheating), and provide plenty of fluids/ if needed some electrolytes.

If a veterinarian is unavailable, I would first aim at providing supportive care (fluids/tube feeding/heat, etc) to stabilize his condition and attempt to narrow down his ailment via at home fecal, physical, and anamnesis examination.
