Is my duck egg bound?

Found some more green poop today. But my girl only seems to quack differently when people come near her and seems otherwise okay. If she were sick, wouldnt she have died by now? Or woudlnt have the others gotten sick too? I'm considering canceling the vet appointment.
The green poop isn't normal if she hasn't been eating any greens I usually only see green when mine have had kale or romaine or peas. She could have an infection going on. The only way to know for sure is to have a vet look at her. Of course that is always up to you.

I was hoping @casportpony would offer some ideas since she is our go to for poop related issues etc..

Quote: It would be helpful for me to see the poop on pavement instead of dirt. I do not think that you should cancel you appointment for many reasons...

1) You don't have a baseline weight on her, so you don't know if she has lost weight or not.
2) In the pictures she looks off to me.
3) You say her quack is different.
4) Her poop doesn't look normal.

As for just her being sick, it happens... I have many ducks, and very rarely will more than one get sick.

OKay. Thanks! Won't cancel. Guess ill just have to take a personal day. What kind of carrier can/should I use to take her?

Something tall enough for her to stand in - with a spill-proof container for drinking water. Some of my ducks get car sick, and they need a drink of water to prevent choking.

Is a plastic storage bin good? I would only put the lid across the bin to keep her from jumping out. All the carriers I looked at were too big, too short or too small.

As long as it is not real stinky. Some bins have a real odor, some not so much - many people use the plastic storage bins, some don't even put the lid on and let the ducks watch out the window. It's going to depend on the duck.

Nettie has built a box with fencing as the sides for traveling with her ducks.

We've used this bin several times before for other things and its been washed out just as many times. It's not a smelly plastic anymore ahha This particular lady though, she doesn't like people, doesn't like being touched, handled or enclosed so ill have to use the lid. If it was one of my tamer ones I wouldn't.

Thank you all for the help and advice!!!

I wonder if you could easily fashion a lid using plastic poultry fence or hardware cloth with the edges duck-taped…. Just thinking.

Speaking of travel, I need to make another travel waterer. Almost forgot.

Clean bill (pun intended) of health other than being slightly overweight. Small bumble on her foot, easily treated. Vet did a fecal swab and said nothing was wrong with her poop. Here she is about to head back home. She behaved and was surprisingly calm so I kept the lid off and she enjoyed looking out the window

That is wonderful news. She looks to be enjoying herself. So cute.
