Hardware cloth is stiff wire grid fencing that comes in rolls. The size used for poultry are usually about half inch squares so nothing can reach in or get in.

Raccoons are notorious for reaching into fencing if they can get their arms in and pulling ducks, chickens and other poultry through which cannot be something to come out to in a morning. Any hardware store even TSC carries it. Hardware cloth.
