Is my goat pregnant? She's having lots of discharge & she has milk

you can check her stomach in front of her udder, if it feels tight as opposed to squishy, she’s likely pregnant. feel first thing in the morning when she’s “empty”. goats will bag up at different times, but just before birthing, her udder will get very full, tight and almost look shiny. there are also tendons at the tip of her tail, they get soft in the days leading up to and then will completely disappear within 24hrs of labour.

these are the only 3 things that all our does have shared when it comes to signs of pregnancy/labour. good luck!

Any time I felt in front of her udder it's very firm but I'll try again first thing in the morning. I can't find the ligaments. I've been trying for days. Are they on the end of her tail? Thank you very much

they are at the base of the tail on either side of her spine. the picture isn’t the best, but you would be feeling around where the red marks are. you can also see how loose Eldy’s back end is here (her “butt” had fallen lower than her back), this was about a week before she gave birth.

OK that's where I've been feeling & I can't feel anything. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you very much for the picture.

I had a hard time feeling them as well - my husband thought I was crazy cause he didn’t have any issues. look up a video on youtube. there’s definitely some resources there that can help better than me with a picture. Blue Cactus Dairy is informative on there!

I'm very grateful for all your help. Thank you

She has lots of hair around her udder but I'll try. I thought it felt fuller today than a couple of days ago but I'm not positive. I think I don't know how to check her tail. I keep hearing about ligaments but I don't feel them? Thank you very much!
