Is my goat pregnant?

Pics
I really didn't see much of a discharge from my pregnant goats except when they were going into labor. That discharge is more like what you would see if she was in heat or had an infection. That said, goats do not read the books. You goat has zero signs of being pregnant, but I have been fooled before. More than once, as a matter of fact. If she is indeed pregnant and is going into labor, you will know soon enough. One sign of impending labor to look for is a loosening of the tail bone. Sometimes it gets so loose you can get your fingers under it. If the discharge you are seeing is because she is starting labor, it will increase as the day goes on. A mucus string is one of the first signs. Goats in labor get restless. They will get up and lie down and paw the ground. They often go off by themselves, too. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the reply. She still has her ligaments. I'm keeping a close eye on her because she is acting different with me. In the one week that I have had her she has been really sweet unless I touch her in the wrong spot. But now she's wants nothing to do with me she acts likes shes mad at the world. Every time I go around her she is trying to head butt me.

This afternoon. I took my buck around her and he wants nothing to do with her and she doesn't like him.

You are really going to have to do something about that head butting. You really are. My goats, all of them, from a very early age, knew who who was top goat. Your doe thinks she is. Bad idea.

As for the ligaments, if you can find them, congratulations!! Good for you!! I mean that. If that remark comes across as snarky, it isn't. I bred dairy goats for over 40 years and I never did figure out the ligament thing. It isn't as if I didn't try either. Slow learner maybe.

I only have Nigerian dwarfs so I’m not familiar with that breed but with Nigerians you can definitely tell when they are close.

No babies, no bag, just a fat belly 🤷 me and my husband can tell she is getting bigger. Maybe if she is pregnant she's not that far.
I will tell you why I do not think she is pregnant, or if she is, the pregnancy is not very far advanced at all. Look at the top of her rear udder. There is no life to it. One of the first noticeable symptoms of pregnancy is changes in the rear udder. Usually this starts to be seen when the doe is about three months along.

I have 2 friends with goats and I have been showing them pics and they both said the same thing. I don't think she pregnant myself. But the lady we got her from said she "knows" she pregnant. I have no idea how she knows when she's can't even tell me when she was last in heat. I told my husband I'm giving her a few more weeks and if something doesn't change I will be giving her a call because I bought a pregnant goat not a maybe pregnant goat.

Is there a way to do a pregnancy test on a goat? That might help sort it out sooner.

But you might have to pay a vet to do it, so maybe that's not such a good idea after all.
