Here is my Golden Campine PorkeyPine....I got him/her on March 5 and he/she was only a few days old at that time...PorkeyPine is turning out to be such a silly chicken. I have never had a Campine before or a roo. But this one sure acts like a roo! Very Sweet and I can hold him/her anytime I want! Anyway was wondering what you all thought this little one might grow up to be!
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

May I also say ProkeyPine puffs up those tail feathers when frightened or unsure about something...Also has a screachy voice sometimes but not sure if that is just something of a campine....

Anyone have an idea?

No idea -- although I have a 4 week golden campine who also has a quirky personality. She climbs all over me on her terms -- always hops in my hand when I put it down but she is very independent and brave --and moves the furthest away when they are outside. She also has a shrill voice and is very vocal in the brooder! Maybe Campines are just silly chickens! Good luck on the gender debacle nonetheless! I would say pullet since the comb isn't red at all -- but I am noooo expert!!!

Thanks for the info. I hope it is a pullet but will take my chances...Nice to hear someone else's Campine has the same behavior! Always wants to jump on me and see what is going on

Its a pullet. Roos usually have ring of neck feathers and a meaner look in their face.Hens have a more pleasent look.
