First time chicken owner.

Rhode Island Red almost 12 weeks old. It was very aggressive as a young chick but now it's the sweetest and calmest of the six. In another group when it was younger the answer based on behavior said roo... except one said she had a chick with the same behavior turn into the sweetest hen. Pullet or roo?

I also am keeping an eye on that Lavender Orpington, it's two weeks younger than the RIR but it's comb is growing faster than it's "sister" LO.

Gosh hopefully I won't have to find homes for two!😳

This reminds me of something! We used to have a little RIR who was the sweetest thing ever, and then he started crowing. We kept him for a little while, but we had hens as well, and we didn't want the neighbor's to complain, so we had to sell him. He was the sweetest though! Here's him as a chick with one of his chickmates, Angel, a white leghorn (she's in the second pic, and yes, it's a current picture. Side note, the person in the first picture is my dad.):
