Is my Hen a Rooster?

The chicken in question is a boy! The buff chicken in the background of the last picture is a hen.

The British standard for Araucanas have tails, and in a cockerel it's much higher and more "feathery" than the one in the picture. But then they should also have tufts of feathers on the top of their heads, beside their ears and under their chins. I don't see any sign of that in your picture. I very much doubt that your chicken is an Araucana or an Americana.

You can tell the EE is a roo because of the gold pointy feathers coming in on his hind end. He also has a longer flowing tail and a decent size red comb. I'm assuming the buff chicken is around the same age as the EE so judging by the lack of pointy saddle feathers and small comb she is a young pullet.
