I have had her since Christmas and I think she was about 8 weeks old when we got her. So roughly 5 months old now… hasn’t started crowing but she just seems bigger then my other older hen… I’ve had a roster before and it’s comb and wattle where a lot bigger and redder then this on by 3 months of age so I’m a bit confused as to wether she is just a big breed of chicken or is actually a big
Ps.. don’t mind her feathers we have had so much rain and floods here lately finally drying out

Why do you all think it's a male?
What breed is she?
I'm with you, at 5 mo her comb/wattles should be alot redder & bigger but that all depends on the breed. She does look to be a "bigger" breed than the one pictured with. IF she a dual purpose/bigger breed, she may not start laying until 6 - 8 mo ... I don't see any hackle nor saddle feathers. The feathering she has isn't "sharp/pointy".
I'm curious why everyone think it's a he.

To me the saddle feathering looks very pointy. The hackles look pretty pointy as well. Plus there is some red leakage on the wing.

Looks like a mix.

‘She’ has male feathering, leakage on the wings, etc…
Does look younger than five months though.
