i noticed today that my chicken seems blind today. I have food on my hand and she usually runs to me to gets it but today it seems like she sees my hand close to her and she starts poking it with her beak like if my hand was closer. i also picked her up and when I was gonna put her down I think she still felt like I was still holding her. What could be the causes and is it temporary?

Have no idea what could be wrong, but I'll be praying for your hen! God healed my rooster's bumblefoot so I'm sure he can do the same with your hen.

That is odd. It sounds like her depth perception is off. Chickens have good far vision (See predator) and good close up vision (find food). Of she doesn't regain it I would think she would adjust. I read that they can see even if totally blind. She will know when it's light and dark and lay eggs and go to roost.
