I have a hen that just this summer purchased Few weeks ago I noticed her on her perch puffed up eyes closed. I though oh oh she's sick but when let out she acted fine but I noticed her one eye looking strange so I caught her and out her in separate pen to watch her. Above her left eye is a small bald spot little larger than a couple pieces of rice no blood nothing. However when she goes to eat she doesn't focus on the corn to pick it up she pecks above it around it. I have been trying to feed her foods that she can grab no matter where she pecks. Is this brain damage or is she going blind or??? Will this resolve itself? To be brutally honest I don't HSBC the time to spend making sure she gets enough food in her to survive. Do you think this will resolve itself. Has anyone experienced this befor. Help please

Not sure what it looks like. (Pictures help a lot in this kind of situation.) Mine puff up and close their eyes to sleep. Also not all pecks land exactly where I would grab if I were a chicken. Are you feeding whole kernel corn? What other options does she have? My personal opinion is whole kernel corn is too big, I only feed it in the dead of winter make their system work harder and keep them warmer. No one needs to agree with me. As long as your birds get plenty of complete food (mash or pellets) you can give them whatever treats you want.
