Is my hen sick?

Buffy (a 10month old orpington) has holed up in her nexting box for the last two days. She doesn't seem to want to come out. She has layed on egg, which I removed, but even when I took her our, she goes back in. She's all fluffed up. Her comb is very red. Is she sick? broody? If so, what to do?
