Is my hen sick?

Mites and lice are easily seen under the vent and under wings and neck. Don't treat unless she has them. I like doing things as natural as possible, but mites can cause anemia and death. I have used the powders I listed with no problems.

I see them on her back... I will just wash her, no harm in it.

I used to only dust if I saw them, but one day I saw one of my hens looking very off. She happened to be going through a really tuff molt and she was almost nothing but pin feathers and bare skin. I decided to dust her and you would not believe how infested with lice she was, they were all hiding in the shafts of her feathers! So now I dust them all, even if I cannot see them.
