Settle this argument. šŸ˜‰
I bought a box of Christmas cards. There are four style of cards.
One says happy holidays, mentions the season inside, etc. But no mention of Christmas, the rest do. This is the card in question.
We have a card exchange at our little church in a small town (I'm Christian and live in the Bible belt). He says that particular card is inappropriate to give away to them. That is should be reserved for non religious or non Christian folks.

I agree with thecatumbrella. Write Merry Christmas, or Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year inside the card. That should cover it.

I agree with him, matter of fact I'd go a step further and not send any cards to those who would be offended by the term merry Christmas.

Why is this even an argument? Write Merry Christmas and Happy New Year inside the card and give it away to whomever you want. What is going on here?

I don't see what the big deal is, personally. If someone has the luxury to be so bothered by a receiving card that doesn't say exactly what they wanted, then that's their issue. Personally, I'm happy whenever someone even thinks to give me a card for things
