New chicken owner here. Can anyone help determine if I have a rooster here?
While it certainly may have been some other kind of wild bird in my yard, I heard what sounded like some practice cockadoodling happening yesterday at about 5am. I didn't see her making the noise....I just heard SOME bird doing it. If it was her, she hasn't made a sound since then.
She's a Columbian Rock, I believe. This girl was apparently born April 14th, and one of the pics shows her and her sister, who is half the size, and has almost no comb. They were identical when we bought them at 6 weeks old.
The chicken in question has no spurs, but quite thick legs.
None of our 6 girls are laying yet.
I tried to get decent pics, but she's a squirmy girl (or boy).
Thanks
Brian
