Thanks to you helpful people, I believe I/we have decided that I have a Muscovy duck. Now I'm wondering how to determine male from female? This one may be about 8 weeks. I forgot to write down when we got her/him. If there is a way to know, I would love to hear about it. Google isn't helpful with this subject!
Thanks!

Yes! pictures! and if you could get him/her standing next to something for size comparision it would help

Look at the feet. They have big feet. I have three muscovy ducklings and you can tell very clearly the one is a male.
They get huge compaired to a female.

One thing we noticed about this duck was his huge feet, compared to a mallard. Not a good comparison, of course, but the mallard is the only other duck we have.
I don't have other ducks of her kind to compare, so maybe there is no way to be sure. I guess since both our mallards are female, we will know for sure one of these days, won't we?
Thanks for the replies. When he/she was a bit smaller, the feet seemed to be 'way too big for the size of the duck, but now they don't seem to be that big.
I guess this picture won't help, but I'll send it anyway.
