Hello again everyone!

A few weeks ago, I posted pics of my little barred rock chick. It was supposed to be a pullet but I started thinking it might be a roo by the size of it's comb. Here s(he) is at 2 1/2 weeks old....

Now at around 5 1/2 weeks, this is what s(he) looks like...

Since all the chickens we got, with the exception of two Brahmas, two Cochins and 3 EE's, are all different breeds, I'm having a hard time telling since I can't really compare it to the others. My daughter named it "Bailey" because all the chicks were supposed to be girls...but then we decided that if it's a boy, we are going to call it "Loki" after the Norse God of Mischief because it will have tricked us!

My gut says it's a roo....what do you guys think? And just for laughs, give me a percentage of how right you think you are! =-)

Thanks for your help!

I say it's a pullet, too. Male BRs are much lighter in color. I have six BR hens, here's one at 5 weeks last spring.

I have some just a few weeks older than yours 5 hens; 1 roo. Yours is definitely a hen. My roo's comb is redder and his color is dramatically lighter than the females. Enjoy.
